Two Men Face Charges Over Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack

This event resulted in the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the multi-storey parking facility.

Formal charges have been brought against two men in connection with a suitcase robbery where a believed to be pepper spray resulted in harm at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.

This legal action stems from an investigation into an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, police said.

A toddler was among those injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and not considered a terror-related act – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
