Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been won on hard courts
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev claimed his initial title for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a former number one, has endured a difficult season, achieving just one match at the major tournaments and experiencing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
His unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his service game in specific - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately splitting with long-term trainer his previous coach.
Now training with his coach and his other coach, Medvedev has gradually advanced in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This marks his initial championship since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard court since that period of the previous year.
Success also indicates the Russian has won twenty-one victories at twenty-one different events.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my children at once, so to secure a championship is particularly special," stated ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, including in Halle earlier this year.
The player's retrieving strategy and regular reactions on the playing surface had caused some to doubt if his capacity to compete at the top level was over.
However the athlete has made changes in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and perform positively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
He came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging Moutet, winning four of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
Both players traded breaks in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his first tour victory, gained dominance to push for a decider.
Moutet rescued 4 early-game chances in a competitive final set before the Russian secured a break to 15 to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned the title with a point at the net area, with Moutet failing to handle a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
